Accessibility statement
What this website and the Parrish Avenue studio already do, and what we are still fixing.
Last updated: March 2, 2026
Keystone Arch wants every adult in Kerr County to be able to use this website and attend a class. This statement describes where we are, honestly, including the parts that are not finished.
1. The website
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. What is in place today:
- Semantic headings in order, landmarks and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Text contrast checked against AA thresholds; body text at 17px with a 1.7 line height.
- Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus outline that we have not removed.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images; decorative images left unlabelled.
- All animation disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
- No auto-playing audio or video, no carousels that move without your input, no time limits.
- Responsive layout that works at 320px width and at 200% zoom without loss of content.
Known gaps: our downloadable PDFs are not yet fully tagged for screen readers, and two tables on the schedule page are wide enough to need horizontal scrolling on a small phone. Both are on the list. If you need any document in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — ask and we will provide it at no cost, usually the same day.
2. The studio
- Step-free entry from the north parking lot; two accessible bays beside that door.
- Ground-floor classrooms, accessible restroom, and desks at two heights.
- Assistive listening: we can provide a direct feed from the instructor's microphone to headphones.
- Materials in large print on request, given a few days' notice.
- Support workers, interpreters and assistance dogs are always welcome and never charged for.
- Online attendance is available for most courses if travelling to the studio is difficult.
3. In class
Instructors read aloud what they type on the projector, avoid colour-only cues, and will slow down or repeat without being asked twice. Tell us what helps at enrolment and it goes in the register so you never have to explain it again.
4. Feedback
If you hit a barrier on this site or in the building, tell Jodie Briganti directly at webmaster@education.acaimagia013.com or 830-889-3387. We aim to reply within two business days with either a fix or a date for one. This statement was last reviewed on March 2, 2026.
